1. Introduction

Antbase ("we", "us", "our") operates the ANT AI routing platform at antbase.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our website, API, and related services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Email address (for registration and communication)
  • Name (optional, for profile)
  • Password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never store plaintext passwords)
  • Google account data (if using Google Sign-In: email, name, profile photo)

Billing Information

  • Credit balance and transaction history
  • PayPal email (for affiliate payouts, if enrolled)
  • We do not store credit card numbers — payments are processed by third-party payment providers

API Usage Data

  • Request metadata: model used, token counts, latency, timestamp, provider selected
  • Routing decisions: classifier output, model scores, failover events
  • Error logs: status codes, provider error messages (for debugging)

Prompt Data

  • Prompt content is processed in real time to classify and route requests
  • We store a truncated preview of each prompt (up to 200 characters) together with a one-way hash of the full prompt. The preview is used to debug failures, investigate abuse, and answer your support requests. It is deleted automatically after 30 days. The hash is kept longer and cannot be reversed to recover your text.
  • We do not store full prompt bodies or model responses, except where a response is held in your workspace's response cache (which you control in Settings and which expires on its own).
  • We do NOT use your prompts to train AI models
  • Prompts are forwarded to the selected AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) subject to that provider's privacy policy

Website Analytics

  • Google Analytics for aggregated website traffic analysis
  • IP address (anonymized for analytics)
  • Browser type, device type, pages visited

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the ANT routing service
  • To authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • To process billing and credit transactions
  • To route API requests to the optimal AI model provider
  • To detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access
  • To send service-related communications (billing alerts, outage notices)
  • To generate aggregated, anonymized analytics about platform usage

4. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal data. We share data only in these circumstances:

  • AI providers (sub-processors): Antbase is a router. Your prompt is forwarded to whichever provider serves the model you requested, or — if you use a virtual model such as ant:auto — to whichever provider the router selects for that request. We work with roughly thirty providers, and the specific provider for any request is recorded and visible to you in your dashboard. Each operates under its own privacy policy and data-retention terms, which we do not control. If you need a request to stay with a particular provider, pin that provider's model id explicitly rather than using a virtual model.
  • Hosting and infrastructure: the service runs on our own infrastructure in the European Union. Transactional email is sent via Brevo; bot protection is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile.
  • Payment Processors: Billing data is shared with payment processors to handle transactions.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or governmental request.

5. Data Retention

  • Account data: retained while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account closure
  • Request metadata: retained while your account is active, for billing history, routing quality and provider reliability analysis
  • Prompt previews (up to 200 characters): 30 days, then deleted automatically
  • Prompt hashes and request metadata (model, provider, tokens, cost, latency): retained for service analytics and billing history
  • Billing records: retained for 7 years per financial regulations

6. Data Security

  • All data in transit is encrypted via TLS/HTTPS
  • Passwords are hashed using bcrypt
  • API keys are stored encrypted at rest
  • Database access is restricted to authorized services only
  • We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Restriction: Restrict processing of your personal data
  • Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests

You can export your data and delete your account yourself from Settings. For anything else, contact us at antbase.ai/contact.

8. Cookies

  • Session cookies: Used for authentication (antbase-session). Essential for the service to function.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics cookies for aggregated traffic analysis.
  • We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in the European Union and, when forwarded to AI providers, in the United States or other countries where those providers operate. We rely on provider compliance with applicable data protection regulations.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes via email or platform notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
